What are Lost Treasure Golf’s hours?
We’re open year-round, with hours that change by season. Summer brings our longest hours (around 9am to 11pm daily), with roughly 10am–10pm hours in the spring and fall, and weekends only during the winter months (December through February). Everything is weather permitting, so it’s a good idea to call ahead if the weather looks questionable, and check our website here for the current day’s hours.
Is there really a train ride?
Yes — and it’s one of our most beloved features! A yellow mining train carries you to the top of the mountain to start your round, setting the whole treasure-hunting mood and giving you a great overview of the adventure ahead. Kids and adults alike consider it part of the charm.
How many courses are there, and how long does a round take?
We feature two distinct 18-hole courses — the Gold and the Diamond — each with its own unique layout and feel. Most groups finish an 18-hole round in about 45 minutes to an hour, and many guests love playing both.
What’s the story behind Lost Treasure Golf?
Our theme follows Professor Duffer A. Hacker, who led two 1920s expeditions to the Fogclift Islands off the coast of South America in search of gold and diamond mines — and discovered an old mining train built by the Germans during the First World War. That train now carries you to the top of the mountain to begin your own treasure hunt.
What kind of obstacles and scenery does the course have?
You’ll putt your way through spectacular, immersive scenery, including caves, waterfalls, a Mayan-style temple, a volcano, a pirate ship, and ancient ruins. Every hole offers something new to look at — sometimes the scenery is so eye-catching it’s a fun distraction from your game!
How much does it cost to play?
We offer single-round tickets with $1 off when you buy online, a discounted second round if you play it the same day, and free play for little ones ages 3 and under. Since prices can vary by season and location, check our website for current pricing.
Do you offer discounts, coupons, or a second-round deal?
Yes — we regularly offer $1 off general admission per person (valid until 6pm), plus $1 off when you buy online and a discounted rate on each additional round played the same day. We also offer group rates, so contact us if you’re bringing a crowd.
What is the “mystery hole”?
It’s a fun bonus! After your round, ask an Expedition Guide about the Mystery Hole — it changes every day and isn’t revealed until you finish. If you scored a hole-in-one on it, you win a free game (one free game per person, per day). It’s a great reason to bring your best putting to every hole.
Can I buy tickets online, or do I need a reservation?
No reservation needed — walk-ins are always welcome. Tickets can be purchased at our box office or online, and buying online saves you $1 per single round. A pro tip: arrive around opening to avoid longer waits for the train during busy times.
Is Lost Treasure Golf good for kids and families?
Absolutely — we’re a family favorite. Both courses offer fun challenges for all ages, with one designed to be a little easier for younger golfers, and the courses are spacious and well-laid-out so you never feel crowded or rushed. The train ride is a hit with the little ones, too.
Is the course wheelchair accessible?

When is the best time to visit to avoid a wait?
We’re typically busiest in the mid-afternoon and on weekends and holidays. For more leisurely play and shorter train waits, plan your visit for the morning or early evening — arriving right at opening is a great strategy during peak season.
Is it worth playing at night?
Definitely — the course is beautifully lit after dark, and the waterfalls look especially incredible in the evening. It’s also a great way to play without the midday Smoky Mountain heat.
Is Lost Treasure Golf a good rainy-day or off-Parkway activity?
We’re a wonderful break from shows and shopping, and there are shaded caves along the course that come in handy on hot or drizzly days. Since we’re outdoors, play is weather permitting — so call ahead if the weather looks iffy.
What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable shoes are a must for the stairs and hills, and sunscreen and water are smart in the warmer months (there’s shade in the caves to cool off). Please note we’re an alcohol-free facility, and evening rounds are especially popular once the day cools down.
